How to File a Dependent Family Claim

Obtain death certificate
Official death certificate from the local government office (Palika).

Gather documents
Death certificate, contributor's SSFID, nominee registration details, claimant's citizenship, marriage certificate (for spouse), birth certificates (for children).

For work accident
Also include: accident report from employer, FIR (if applicable), medical/post-mortem report.

Submit claim to SSF
Submit at SSF head office: Naxal, Bhagwati Marg, Kathmandu. Or via employer portal if employer assists.

SSF verification
SSF verifies contributor's record, confirms eligibility, and processes the claim.

Receive payment
Monthly payments to nominee's/claimant's bank account. Funeral grant paid immediately upon approval.

If no nominee is registered in the SSF system, claim processing will be significantly delayed. Ensure your nominee is registered at sosys.ssf.gov.np or ask your employer to register them.
